Evivi Foods, producers of Evivi Rice and other household food products, has sent a congratulatory message to the players, technical team, management and supporters of the national beach soccer team, the Black Sharks, following Ghana’s qualification for the 2026 CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations.
Ghana booked a place at the continental tournament with a hard-fought 7-4 victory over Nigeria’s Super Sand Eagles in Keta, a result that sent waves of celebration across the coastal town and beyond.
In a gesture of support for the team’s growing fan base, Evivi Foods made available an additional bus to convey supporters who travelled from Accra to Keta to cheer on the Sharks during the qualifier.
The company noted that its backing of the national beach soccer team forms part of a broader commitment to Ghanaian sports and sports tourism, which has seen the brand align with major football events and fan engagement activities in recent years.
Evivi Foods has previously partnered with ambassadors including comedian Lekzy De-Comic to support events such as football viewing experiences and musical concerts.
Its fan engagement promotions have also seen the brand connect with major tournaments, including the CAF Africa Cup of Nations, where it engaged supporters with giveaways, prizes and themed content.
The brand has further sought to link local food culture with sporting and travel moments, as demonstrated by the Ghana versus Naija Jollof tasting and eating contest, which drew attention for its celebration of West African culinary rivalry.
Meanwhile, management of Evivi Foods has indicated it is seriously considering a support package for the Black Sharks ahead of the tournament, which kicks off in November in Senegal.
The Black Sharks’ qualification has been hailed as a significant milestone for beach soccer in Ghana, and the team is expected to carry the hopes of a nation when the competition begins in Senegal.
