Paris Saint-Germain will not be staying at their preferred Champions League final hotel after all — because Bayern Munich have already claimed it as their own, and have no intention of giving it up.
The Ligue 1 champions had planned to return to the Infinity Hotel & Conference Resort, the venue they believe brought them luck ahead of last season’s final against Inter Milan. But the property has been Bayern’s regular match-day hotel since 2010.
When PSG approached the German club about potentially sharing the space, they were met with a firm rejection from Bayern coach Vincent Kompany.
“It’s our hotel,” Kompany told L’Équipe. “There’s no question of leaving it to the Parisians — and even less of sharing multiple floors. It’s our city, it’s our home game, so there’s nothing to negotiate.”
With no room for compromise, PSG will now book alternative accommodations in the city ahead of the European clash.
