The publication states that the French striker has become increasingly isolated at the club, maintaining close relationships only with his fellow French players in the squad. His attitude during a recent training session was described as contemptuous toward a staff member, and he reportedly arrived 45 minutes late to the team’s last organized meal.
The situation has been further aggravated by Mbappé’s arrival at Madrid’s airport this past Sunday. The forward landed on the tarmac just 12 minutes before his team’s match against Espanyol — a game Real Madrid went on to win 2-0.
Club insiders say there is growing irritation over the star’s lack of discretion and what is seen as an inability to assess — or take into account — the negative repercussions of his behaviour on the club’s image.
