Vice President Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has hailed Ghanaian workers for their dedication and sacrifice, reaffirming that labour will remain central to President John Dramani Mahama’s Reset Agenda for national renewal.
In a message to mark May Day, the Vice President described the nation’s workforce as the cornerstone of a resilient, inclusive, and prosperous economy.
“We honour the hardworking men and women of Ghana whose dedication and sacrifice continue to propel our nation forward,” Prof. Opoku-Agyemang said.
She stressed that as the government advances its vision under President Mahama’s leadership, the toil of workers will be prioritised in efforts to expand opportunities and catalyse growth.
“Government is resolutely committed to expanding opportunities and catalysing growth while upholding dignity, equity, and enhanced livelihoods for every Ghanaian worker,” she asserted.
The Vice President’s May Day message, which she described as both a homage and a covenant, recognised labour’s indispensable role and pledged that the fruits of national progress would be shared with fairness, honour, and purpose.
“We commend all Ghanaian workers for their service,” she concluded.
