Former Ghana Athletics president George Haldane Lutterodt invited to prestigious UK Sports honour ceremony

Renowned Ghanaian sports financier, economist and former President of the Ghana Athletics Association, George Haldane Lutterodt, has received a special invitation from the Martial Arts Institute in the United Kingdom to attend an exclusive lunch and award ceremony in honour of internationally acclaimed fitness athlete, IFBB Pro Michelle Fredua-Mensah.
The private ceremony is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the JRC Global Buffet, Unit 6C, Valley Leisure Park, Beddington Farm Road, Croydon, United Kingdom, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.
According to the official invitation released by the Martial Arts Institute, Mr. Lutterodt has been invited as a distinguished guest to celebrate the achievements of Michelle Fredua-Mensah, who has emerged as one of the most successful African fitness athletes on the global stage.
Michelle Fredua-Mensah is being honoured for winning several prestigious international titles, including Amazon of the Year 2025, Ms. Fitness Olympia 2025, Arnold USA Fitness Champion 2026 and Arnold UK Fitness Champion 2026.
The invitation extended to Mr. Lutterodt highlights his enduring influence and contribution to sports development both in Ghana and internationally. Over the years, he has earned recognition not only as a sports administrator but also as a passionate supporter of young athletic talents.
As former president of Ghana athletics, George Haldane Lutterodt played a significant role in promoting athletics and youth sports development in the country. He is also widely respected for sponsoring and supporting former Youth Olympic Games 800 metres champion Martha Bissah during a crucial stage of her athletic career.
