The Ghana Scholarships Authority (GSA) has announced the opening of applications for the 2026/2027 Local Tertiary Scholarship Scheme, offering financial support to brilliant but needy Ghanaian students pursuing higher education in recognised local institutions.
In a public notice issued on Monday, April 20, 2026, the Authority called on qualified students who have gained admission to public or accredited private tertiary institutions to submit their applications through the official online portal.
The application window will remain open for one month, closing on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. The GSA has cautioned that late submissions will not be accepted.
How to Apply
All applications must be completed online via the dedicated Scholarship Portal at www.apply.scholarships.gov.gh. Applicants are required to fill out the application form accurately and upload all necessary supporting documents.
Following the initial submission, shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for an aptitude test and participate in a selection interview as part of the assessment process.
