The Member of Parliament for South Dayi and Majority Chief Whip, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, together with District Chief Executive Courage Kokroko, joined residents across the constituency on April 4, 2026, to celebrate the Easter holiday.
The two officials toured several communities, including Tongor-Tsanakpe, Peki-Blengo, Todome-Kpalime, and Wegbe-Kpalime, where they took part in local festivities and fundraising initiatives aimed at fostering community development.
In Tongor-Tsanakpe, the MP and DCE participated in symbolic observations before proceeding to the 1911 Park in Peki-Blengo. There, they joined the Peki State at a fundraising event, which featured a vibrant display of tradition including the firing of guns (Asafotudada) with participants dressed in warrior attire.
The team later visited Peki-Adzokoe Newtown, Adzokoe Old Town, and other adjoining communities.
Throughout the visits, Mr. Dafeamekpor and Mr. Kokroko highlighted ongoing and upcoming development projects in the area and provided financial support to the various communities. They also called on residents to continue backing the National Democratic Congress (NDC), stressing the importance of collective growth and unity.
Local residents expressed appreciation for the officials’ presence and contributions, describing the tour as a clear demonstration of the NDC’s commitment to the South Dayi Constituency.
The Easter tour added to a series of holiday engagements by public officials across the region.
