David Beckham has given fans a first look at Inter Miami’s spectacular new $750 million (£566.5 million) stadium, sharing footage from the club’s inaugural training session at the venue ahead of its first home match this Saturday.
The England legend posted a video to Instagram showing the gleaming pink and white ground, simply captioned: “Our new home” alongside two pink heart emojis. The 50-year-old also shared images of the stadium — including himself testing out the turf — on his main grid, drawing an outpouring of support from followers.
Beckham announced the start of construction on the project, originally named Miami Freedom Park, in 2023 — three years after the club’s founding. Since their inaugural season, Inter Miami has been based at the 21,500-capacity Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale. The move to the new venue, located close to Miami International Airport, will boost capacity to 26,700.
Among those celebrating the milestone in the comments section were Beckham’s son Romeo and former Manchester United and England teammate Gary Neville, both posting supportive red heart emojis. His mother, Sandra, wrote: “So proud, ground looks amazing,” adding a string of heart and football emojis.
Inter Miami is set to play its first match on the new turf this Saturday, marking a new chapter for the MLS club as it officially makes the stadium its permanent home.
