Archbishop Duncan Williams criticizes politicians’ wives, warns of “sowing and reaping”

Presiding Bishop of Action Chapel International, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, has issued a strong rebuke to the wives of politicians, accusing them of encouraging their husbands to engage in corruption.

Speaking during a service, the prominent Ghanaian cleric alleged that some political spouses fail to question the source of their husbands’ wealth. He claimed that rather than holding their husbands accountable, they benefit from proceeds of corruption and provide encouragement that enables further misconduct.

“Because they push for their party to come to power, even though they don’t have the capacity, they are given positions and misbehave,” Archbishop Duncan-Williams stated. He further questioned why wives do not ask about the origin of new vehicles, houses, or other sudden acquisitions.

He asserted that by enjoying such benefits without accountability, wives incentivize wrongdoing. “You enjoy it with your husbands and give them sex to encourage them to do more,” he said.

The Archbishop concluded with a warning about inevitable consequences, stating, “The evil that men do lives after them. Make no mistake. The law of sowing and reaping doesn’t fail; when it is time for you to reap it will locate you.”

Archbishop Duncan-Williams is the founder of Action Chapel International and remains a influential voice in Ghana’s religious landscape.
