YOLO actor Drogba pleads for support amid stiff person syndrome battle

Ghanaian actor Drogba, known for his role in the popular series YOLO, has made an emotional appeal to friends and colleagues to show him love and support while he is still alive as he battles Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS).

In an interview with Sammy Kay, the actor revealed that actress Fella Makafui reached out to him via an unknown number after news of his illness became public. He claimed she later asked about his availability, but communication stopped after he responded.

“She contacted me through a number I didn’t know, and after some time, she asked when I would be available,” Drogba said. “I told her I am always free, and since then, I haven’t heard from her.”

Drogba clarified that he is not demanding assistance from anyone, but stressed that people should not wait until tragedy strikes to offer kind words or help.

“They shouldn’t wait for me to die before saying nice things about me because those words won’t bring me back,” he said.

The actor’s plea highlights the emotional toll of his condition and his desire for genuine, timely support from those in his circle.
