Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen is facing legal proceedings after Mercedes-Benz filed a lawsuit alleging the Nigerian international failed to make payments on a luxury car leased during his time in Italy.
The complaint, submitted by Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Italia S.p.A. in Milan, claims Osimhen owes approximately €90,000 in unpaid instalments for a Mercedes GLE hybrid SUV. The leasing company also alleges that the forward did not return the vehicle after the lease agreement expired.
The case has been formally classified as “misappropriation.”
Neither Osimhen nor his representatives have issued a public response to the allegations.
The legal dispute has drawn attention due to the player’s substantial earnings. Osimhen is reportedly earning over €18 million per year at Galatasaray, where he currently plays on loan. He is also known for his taste for high-end luxury cars.
The vehicle at the centre of the claim, a hybrid SUV from Mercedes-Benz’s GLE line, is among the brand’s mid-to-upper-range models.
The case is pending before a court in Milan.
