Neymar was involved in a physical altercation with 18-year-old prospect Robinho Junior during a training session, reportedly after the veteran forward took exception to a dribble from the young player.
According to sources, the incident began when Neymar tripped Robinho Jr., sparking a fight on the training ground. The 18-year-old, who shares a close relationship with Neymar, was said to be hurt by the clash.
Following the episode, Neymar reached out to Robinho Jr. by phone and also sent messages to the teenager’s family to issue an apology, admitting he had made a mistake.
Despite the incident, the two maintain a good relationship, ESPN Brasil has learned.
