The Asantehene has shared a touching story of how he supported a struggling Ken Dapaah during their university days.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the King of the Ashanti Kingdom, has opened up about his time at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), revealing that he once helped feed Ken Dapaah when the latter was in need.
Speaking at a recent event, the Asantehene recounted the days when he and the former minister were students together. According to Otumfuo, he stepped in to ensure Dapaah did not go hungry during a difficult period.
“I fed Ken Dapaah when he had no food,” the King stated plainly, reflecting on the bond they shared long before either rose to national prominence.
The anecdote has since drawn public attention, offering a rare glimpse into the Asantehene’s humble beginnings and his longstanding relationship with the former minister.
Ken Dapaah, who has served in various capacities in government, is yet to publicly respond to the King’s remarks.
The story has sparked conversations online, with many Ghanaians praising Otumfuo’s generosity and the humility of both men despite their later successes.
