Dave Bishop withdraws from 1st Vice President race, announces bid for 2nd Vice-President of Ghana Boxing Authority

The campaign team for Dave Bishop has announced a strategic shift in his candidacy for leadership of the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA). Following extensive consultation with trusted colleagues and internal reflection, Bishop has withdrawn from the race for 1st Vice President and will instead seek the office of 2nd Vice President.

In a statement released by the campaign, the decision is framed as an opportunity to strengthen ties within Ghana’s boxing community. “This strategic move will give us the opportunity to deepen our relationships within the boxing community and let our actions and service to Ghana boxing demonstrate our commitment and competence,” the team said.

The campaign expressed profound gratitude to supporters for their loyalty and energy thus far, while urging them to rally behind Bishop’s new bid. “Your ongoing support is vital as we work toward meaningful progress,” the statement added.

Reaffirming their guiding promise—“The future is coming”—the Dave Bishop Campaign Team is now mobilizing for the 2nd Vice President contest, with a focus on service, relationship-building, and demonstrated competence.
