Controversial life coach and public commentator Solomon Buchi has sparked fresh debate online after launching a scathing critique of what he describes as a growing mindset among modern women — that men should only pursue women they can financially “afford.”
In a series of social media posts, Buchi argued that any woman who endorses such a transactional view of relationships has reduced herself to a commodity, likening her to a “prostitute” and a “harlot” whose worth is determined by the highest bidder.
He referenced a recent interview in which influencer Saida Boj advised women to date only wealthy men and to openly request money from them as early as the first day of meeting. Buchi described this line of thinking as deeply damaging to women’s genuine value and dignity.
“Any woman who has the mentality that a man should only go for women he can ‘afford’ is a prostitute and lacks value,” Buchi wrote.
He went on to argue that such a mindset explains why many rich men treat women with disrespect and control. “They know fully well that they ‘purchased’ her with money,” he said. When the treatment becomes unbearable, Buchi added, the woman then labels the man a misogynist — forgetting that the foundation of the relationship was transactional from the start.
“The rich man knows you don’t truly love him — you’re only there because he can spend on you. If he couldn’t afford you or outbid others, you wouldn’t have given him the time of day,” Buchi stated.
He concluded that this perspective reduces a woman’s worth to the monetary value of the highest bidder.
Buchi ended his remarks with a warning: “Every man who strives to make money without the love of a woman is a dangerous man.”
