Page One Educational Complex has announced a strategic shift from infrastructure expansion to human capital investment as it marks its 10th anniversary, unveiling new staff reward systems, an alumni support fund, and international exchange opportunities.
Speaking at the school’s anniversary durbar, Director Joseph Prince Soregan said the institution’s first decade focused on building the facilities and resources that now define the learning environment. The next ten-year plan, he explained, will prioritise the professional growth and welfare of both teaching and non-teaching staff.
“The first ten years of our existence as an institution were focused on developing our infrastructure and resources; hence, the facilities we currently see in the school. The next phase will focus on building our human capital and development,” Mr Soregan said.
During the anniversary celebration, several staff members received televisions, plots of land, and educational scholarships in recognition of their contributions. Mr Soregan said such rewards reflect the school’s new direction, adding that going forward, Page One will annually select one teacher to support academically as part of a broader capacity-building effort.
“I intend to invest significantly in our staff. Those who deserve to be rewarded will be recognised in a grand style,” he said. “Every year within the next ten years, the school will handpick a teacher and support that teacher to advance further in their educational career.”
The director also announced the creation of an alumni support fund aimed at helping brilliant but needy graduates pursue higher education. The school will contribute no less than GHC 10,000 annually to the fund, which will be accessible to all former students of Page One Educational Complex.
“Each year, the school will contribute not less than GHC 10,000.00 to this fund, and all graduates of the school will have access to it,” Mr Soregan said.
Additionally, the school is developing exchange programmes for both current students and alumni. According to the director, partners are already in place to facilitate opportunities for selected learners and graduates to participate in exchange programmes outside Ghana.
Mr Soregan said the initiative is part of a broader vision to expand opportunities, build capacity, and prepare graduates for success in an increasingly competitive global environment.
