The treasury wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Agona West Constituency has officially rejected claims that an individual identified as Abu Trica has provided financial or material support to the party.
Following what it described as a comprehensive audit of its books, the constituency’s finance office stated that no records exist of any contributions from the named individual.
“All official records have been duly verified, and no such transactions exist,” the treasury said in a statement released to the media. “The public and party members are therefore advised to disregard any claims to the contrary, as they are false and misleading.”
The rebuttal comes amid unspecified rumours or assertions suggesting a financial link between the party and Abu Trica. While the statement did not name any accuser or elaborate on the origin of the claims, it stressed that the party’s financial management systems are rigorous, with every donation – large or small – meticulously documented.
The Agona West NDC treasury reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and accountability, adding that accurate financial reporting remains a cornerstone of its operations as the party prepares for upcoming political activities.
Party faithful have been urged to rely only on official channels for information regarding the constituency’s financial status and support base.
