The Paramount Chief of the Dormaa Traditional Area, Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyeman Badu II, has praised former President John Dramani Mahama for his significant contributions to the development of airport infrastructure in Ghana.
According to the revered traditional ruler, the administration of Mr. Mahama demonstrated an unparalleled commitment to expanding the country’s aviation sector. Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyeman Badu II noted that he has not witnessed any previous administration prioritize the establishment and upgrading of airports to the same extent.
The commendation was made in light of ongoing efforts to establish a new airport in Sunyani. The project is anticipated to be a game-changer for air transport connectivity in the middle belt, significantly enhancing accessibility to the Bono Region.
Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyeman Badu II emphasized that the development of robust aviation infrastructure extends beyond mere travel convenience. He highlighted the potential economic ripple effects, stating that the new airport would open up the region to increased trade, tourism, and investment opportunities.
The Dormaahene expressed strong optimism that the proposed airport project would serve as a catalyst for accelerated development, solidifying the Bono Region’s status as a vital commercial and administrative hub in the country.
