A wave of shock and anger has swept through the quiet community of Awutu Bentum, near Bontrase in the Central Region, following the gruesome alleged murder of a young woman by a local fetish priest for ritual purposes.
According to eyewitness accounts and police sources, the suspect, a fetish priest whose shrine was located in the community, is accused of killing his girlfriend and dismembering her body. It is alleged that the priest removed parts of her body, claiming they were required for sacrifices to his gods.
