The 2026 Kwahu Business Forum is poised to become a landmark event for commerce and networking in Ghana, with President John Dramani Mahama confirmed to attend the two-day gathering.
Scheduled for April 3 to 4, 2026, at the newly inaugurated Kwahu Convention Centre, the forum will bring together a host of high-level dignitaries. Organizers have confirmed that the Chief of Staff, Hon. Julius Debrah, and the Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr. Johnson Pandit Asiama, will also be present, underscoring the government’s high-level interest in the initiative.
Benjamin Essuman, Special Aide to the Chief of Staff and a key member of the organizing committee, confirmed the attendance of the top officials, stating that their presence signals the growing importance of the forum as a platform for economic dialogue.
“The anticipated presence of these high-ranking officials demonstrates the high regard and strong commitment to the summit,” Mr. Essuman said. “It reflects a collective dedication to fostering an environment where business can thrive.”
The forum is expected to attract over 1,000 participants, ranging from captains of industry to emerging entrepreneurs. Sectors represented will include banking and finance, insurance, automobile, health, and general goods and services. A central feature of the event will be a series of trade fairs, offering exhibitors a prime opportunity to showcase their products to a wide audience.
According to Mr. Essuman, this edition of the forum is specifically designed with inclusivity in mind, aiming to bridge the gap between Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) and established corporate entities.
“The brainchild behind the program is to provide a platform for small and medium-sized entrepreneurs to network, build relationships with more established companies, and enhance their sustainability,” he explained. By facilitating these connections, the forum aims to strengthen the backbone of Ghana’s economy.
With preparations in full swing, the organizing team has opened registration for the event and is encouraging early sign-ups to ensure smooth coordination. Mr. Essuman expressed strong confidence in the event’s success, citing the meticulous planning underway.
The 2026 Kwahu Business Forum is shaping up to be more than just a gathering; it promises to be a crucial hub for idea exchange and a catalyst for shaping the future trajectory of Ghana’s economic landscape.
