Ghanaian dancehall artist Stonebwoy has firmly ruled out any possibility of reconciliation with his longtime rival, Shatta Wale, stating that the nature of their conflict has moved beyond the usual industry feuds.
In a recent interview with Angel FM, Stonebwoy addressed the strained relationship between the two musicians, explaining that while disagreements within the entertainment industry can sometimes serve as promotional tools, their personal history has crossed a line that cannot be undone.
“People believe it is just a game, but if we want to use music to market Ghana to the whole world there are many ways to do it. There are certain statements you cannot use against someone in the name of marketing,” Stonebwoy said.
He emphasized that some remarks made in the past have had lasting consequences, making a truce impossible. “Certain statements in the name of marketing can spoil everything. So where things have gotten to this point, if I start to smile with him, even my mother’s ghost will kill me,” he stated.
The award-winning musician drew a parallel between their rivalry and the historic, enduring competition between Ghana Premier League giants, Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak, suggesting that some divides are permanent.
Stonebwoy’s latest comments reaffirm the long-standing tension between the two artists, which has been marked by public disputes and sporadic calls from fans for a resolution.
