President John Dramani Mahama has called on Ghanaians to imagine a nation defined by opportunity, integrity, and dignity as the country enters 2026.
In his New Year message, he described a Ghana where every child can dream and achieve, where hard work is rewarded, merit prevails over mediocrity, and corruption is punished.
The President emphasized that young Ghanaians should not have to risk their lives abroad for opportunities, stressing that prospects should be abundant at home. He also highlighted his commitment to ensuring that senior citizens live with dignity, the sick receive proper care, and vulnerable groups are protected.
Mahama further outlined his vision of Ghana as a country respected internationally for its democratic strength, economic vibrancy, and the character of its people, calling it a “light unto Africa and a beacon unto the world.”
