Polish Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz stated that the United States’ role in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization is indispensable, asserting that “there is no NATO without the USA.”
In a post on his X account, the Polish cabinet member emphasized the importance of transatlantic unity, adding that “there are no strong States without allies either.”
His remarks came in response to reports that former U.S. President Donald Trump had advocated for withdrawing the United States from the alliance.
Kosiniak-Kamysz also highlighted the strategic significance of NATO’s eastern flank, noting that security in the region remains directly affected by the ongoing war in the Middle East. He underscored Poland’s role in strengthening regional defense, stating that “Poland plays a key role in building the region’s security architecture.”
