The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has released a revised list of approved voting centres for its upcoming presidential primary, less than 24 hours before delegates are expected to cast their ballots.
The updated document, which has been circulated to party executives and election officials nationwide, outlines polling venues across all constituencies and regions.
According to the list, most voting centres are located in public schools, community centres, police facilities and other recognised public institutions. GPS coordinates have also been provided to make the centres easier to locate and to ensure smooth operations on election day.
The designated polling centres span all 16 regions of Ghana — Western, Central, Greater Accra, Volta, Eastern, Ashanti, Western North, Ahafo, Bono, Bono East, Oti, Northern, Savannah, North East, Upper West and Upper East — underscoring the nationwide nature of the internal contest.
The presidential primary, scheduled for January 31, 2026, is expected to be one of the most competitive in the party’s history as the NPP moves to select a flagbearer for the next general election.
Five candidates are vying for the party’s top position: former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia; former Assin Central MP, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong; Abetifi MP, Dr Bryan Acheampong; Bosomtwe MP, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum; and former NPP General Secretary, Kwabena Agyepong.
