The timely intervention of National Democratic Congress (NDC) foot soldiers prevented the unauthorised removal of vital equipment from the state-owned shipyard, the Chief Executive Officer has disclosed.
According to the CEO, who spoke exclusively to this portal, the quick-thinking actions of the party loyalists halted what could have resulted in significant loss to the national asset.
“The foot soldiers acted swiftly when they got wind of the operation. Their intervention was timely and prevented the removal of sensitive equipment from the premises,” the CEO stated.
The incident, which occurred in the early hours of the morning, saw NDC supporters mobilise rapidly to the facility after receiving intelligence about plans to cart away machinery.
While details remain sketchy about the intended destination of the equipment, sources close to the shipyard indicate that the items in question are critical to the ongoing operations of the facility.
This development has reignited conversations about the stewardship of state assets and the vigilance required to protect them.
