Popular Nollywood actress Nancy Isime has shared her views on marriage, revealing that character, particularly kindness, outweighs material possessions in her choice of a life partner.
Speaking in an open conversation with media personality Morayo Afolabi-Brown, the actress described kindness as a non-negotiable quality for anyone she would consider marrying.
Isime explained that she would not hesitate to marry a man who is genuinely kind, regardless of his status or other shortcomings, noting that such deficiencies can be worked on over time.
She added that she is now ready for marriage, pointing out that she is 34 and conscious about making the right choice.
“I am of marriage age. I am 34. Yes, I am a very attractive lady, and men can desire me. But I have to be careful about what I settle for. First of all, I value kindness. I find it to be one of the most attractive qualities,” she said.
According to the actress, kindness must be sincere and not just for show.
“Before you can even be my friend, let alone my husband, you must be kind. Not performative kindness, but genuine kindness. Once kindness is present, every other thing can be worked on,” she added.
