Lineker: Arsenal ‘little wobble’ no cause for panic- yet

Gary Lineker has dismissed talk of a crisis at Arsenal, describing their recent dip in form as a “little wobble” – but warned that the next two games are “hugely important” to steady the ship.

Speaking after the Gunners’ challenging fortnight, the former England striker acknowledged growing concerns following Gabriel’s injury. The Brazilian defender left the pitch with ice on his knee, and Lineker admitted his absence “will be a big miss”.

Despite the anxiety, Lineker remains confident Arsenal will go on to win the Premier League title. “It’s squeaky bum time,” he said, “but I think they will be fine. It’s not a bad situation to be in – nine points clear at the top and in the Champions League quarter-finals.”

He described a potential Champions League triumph as “an enormous bonus”, noting that Arsenal have never won the competition. For now, though, Lineker believes the league remains the main prize – and one that is firmly within reach.
