The Ministry of Health has announced the start of a nationwide recruitment exercise for health professionals, scheduled to begin on April 16, 2026.
The decision follows the receipt of financial clearance, which the Ministry confirmed remains valid until December 31, 2026. All recruitment activities are expected to be completed within this period.
According to a statement signed by the Ministry’s Spokesperson, Tony Goodman, the process will be decentralised and conducted at the district level based on verified vacancies.
The Ministry assured that the exercise would be competitive and transparent, guided by an approved quota system across all cadres and year groups. All appointments will be made strictly within approved budgetary limits.
Qualified health professionals have been urged to monitor official Ministry of Health channels and district health administration platforms for vacancy announcements and detailed application guidelines. Applicants are also advised to prepare all required documentation and credentials ahead of the rollout.
The Ministry called on all eligible professionals to take advantage of the opportunity to contribute to strengthening healthcare delivery across Ghana.
