Mr. Sammy Gyamfi, Esq., the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod), has been adjudged the Best Public Company CEO of 2025 at the prestigious 15th Radio and TV Personality (RTP) Awards.

The award, presented under a newly instituted category, celebrates the top ten CEOs in the country for their exceptional leadership and transformative impact on their respective industries.

At a ceremony held on February 9, the award was received on behalf of Mr. Gyamfi by GoldBod’s Media Relations Officer, Prince Kwame Minkah. The honour included a commemorative plaque and a citation, which lauded the CEO’s visionary guidance and the Board’s significant contributions to the gold sector and the national economy.

The recognition follows a period of landmark achievements for GoldBod. Under Mr. Gyamfi’s leadership, the Board has been instrumental in strengthening Ghana’s gold trading framework, significantly boosting foreign exchange earnings, and spearheading critical local gold refining and value-addition projects.

Other distinguished leaders honoured at the event included the CEOs of the Tema Oil Refinery, the State Insurance Corporation, and the Tourism Authority, showcasing a breadth of exemplary leadership across Ghana’s public and private sectors.

GoldBod continues to be a pivotal institution in the strategic transformation of Ghana’s gold industry, reinforcing the nation’s position as a regional leader in mineral regulation and sustainable sectoral growth.
