GIFEC supports Sports Ministry

The Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC) has extended support to the Ministry of Sports and Recreation to enhance digital operations as Ghana intensifies preparations for the upcoming World Cup.

As part of its ongoing commitment to digital transformation, GIFEC donated high-speed laptops and projectors to improve office efficiency and strengthen the Ministry’s administrative capacity.

The support will also facilitate the establishment of a Digital Centre aimed at streamlining internal processes and enhancing communication within the Ministry.

The Administrator of GIFEC, Tanko Rashid-Computer, reaffirmed the Fund’s dedication to advancing the Ministry’s digitalisation agenda. He stressed the importance of technology in improving planning and coordination ahead of the global tournament.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Ministry, Betty Krosbi Mensah, Senior Technical Advisor to the Minister of Sports and Recreation (Kofi Adams), expressed appreciation for the timely support. She was joined by Wonder Sitsofe Mandel, Personal Assistant to the Minister.

Also present at the presentation were Ms. Francisca Adjei, Director of Corporate Affairs at GIFEC, and Ms. Zulaiya Yakubu, Head of Training at GIFEC.

The initiative forms part of broader efforts to strengthen collaboration between GIFEC and the Ministry as Ghana gears up for a successful World Cup campaign.
