Controller and Accountant-General’s Department Launches New E-Payslip System
The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) has officially introduced an upgraded electronic payslip system for all government employees on the National Payroll. The initiative aims to enhance the transparency, security, and accessibility of payroll information for public sector workers.
According to officials, the new system represents a significant step in the government’s ongoing efforts to modernize payroll management and strengthen financial accountability. A key security feature requires employees to log in using their National Identification Authority (NIA) Ghana Card number, ensuring that personal payroll data remains protected and accurate.
To access the system, employees must visit the dedicated portal at https://gogepayslipgh.com and complete a one-time registration process. This includes verifying their identity with their Ghana Card number, confirming contact details, and setting up security credentials.
The CAGD has outlined the following steps for registration:
- Visit the portal and click “Forgot Password.”
- Enter your employee number.
- Input your Ghana Card number for verification.
- Confirm and update your email and phone number.
- Verify your phone number via a One-Time Password (OTP).
- Create a new password and select a security question.
- Review and confirm all details on the summary page before finalizing registration.
To support staff during the transition, the department has made a detailed instructional guide available online. Additionally, a dedicated support team can be reached at the following helplines: 0302 354 795, 0303 547 951, 0247 360 841, 0245 211 977, and 0246 963 301.
The upgrade is expected to streamline payroll operations, reduce paper use, and provide government employees with real-time, secure access to their payslip information from any location.
