Mr Kelvin Gyamfi, the Ashanti Regional Treasurer of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association, Ghana (CLOGSAG), has called on district delegates to elect leaders who will place the welfare of members and the interests of the association above all else.
The incumbent regional executive, who is vying for the position of regional chairman, stressed that the upcoming district executive elections in the Ashanti Region must produce leaders committed to championing the causes of members and advancing CLOGSAG’s objectives.
The elections are scheduled to run from April 1 to May 13, 2026. The Ashanti Regional Executive will oversee a transparent electoral process, which for the first time will include a polling station at the Regional Coordinating Council.
Mr Gyamfi, who serves as a Procurement Officer at the Old Tafo Municipal Assembly, assured all aspirants and members that the regional executives have demonstrated quality leadership and will ensure a free, fair, and transparent exercise.
“We want to assure all aspirants and members that we are committed to upholding the principles of fairness, transparency, and accountability,” Mr Gyamfi said.
He urged aspirants to be guided by the electoral guidelines and to uphold the dignity of the association, noting that the outcome of the polls will shape the future of CLOGSAG in the region.
