BMK hosts annual feast for Teshie Widows Association, pledges continued support

Bernard Martei Korley, widely known as BMK, held his annual feast and engagement session with members of the Teshie Widows Association on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.

The yearly event offers the community leader a platform to engage directly with the widows, listen to their concerns, and gain deeper insight into the challenges they face.

In a notable gesture, BMK made a cash donation alongside several bags of 50kg rice, tins of Milo, and milk to support the association’s welfare programmes. The gathering featured fellowship, with members joining in songs of praise, feasting, and expressions of gratitude.

Addressing the gathering, BMK reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive community development, stressing that the welfare of widows must remain central to his vision of growth. He described their strength and resilience as pillars of society, insisting they must never be left behind.

He further noted that the effort was not merely about assistance but about recognition—widows deserve to be seen, heard, and valued as active contributors to Teshie’s progress. BMK also promised continued support, including the organisation of health screening exercises to promote members’ wellbeing.

Speaking on behalf of the association, Madam Comfort Kai Korley expressed heartfelt appreciation for BMK’s gesture, stating that such engagements give them hope and reassurance that their voices are being heard.

The association’s leadership offered prayers for BMK, asking for blessings upon his life and continued strength in his mission to uplift the community.
