Interior decorator, 20, charged with murder of British national in Accra

A 20-year-old interior decorator, Pearl Agbomadzi, has been charged with murder before an Accra High Court in connection with the death of a 74-year-old British national residing in Ghana.

According to the prosecution, the deceased, identified as John Scott Hughes, allegedly invited Ms. Agbomadzi to meet him at American House. He is then said to have taken her to Philipo’s Movie House, a well-known venue in East Legon, where he booked a room for the two of them.

Details surrounding the incident that led to the death of the elderly Briton have not yet been fully disclosed by investigators. The court is expected to hear further proceedings in the case.
