YEA clears majority of arrears, assures remaining beneficiaries of swift payment

The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) has announced the successful payment of allowances to its beneficiaries, confirming that most outstanding arrears have now been cleared.

In an official statement released on April 10, 2026, the Agency disclosed that the majority of beneficiaries have received full settlement of their owed allowances. A small number of beneficiaries are awaiting payment for March only, while others have February payments still being processed.

According to the YEA, the discrepancies in payment statuses are due to differences in deployment and engagement timelines across its various modules. Each beneficiary’s payment schedule, the Agency explained, is tied to their specific period of engagement.

The YEA urged beneficiaries yet to receive payment alerts to exercise patience, attributing the delays to technical challenges with the banking payment platform. It gave assurances that all outstanding payments would be completed in due course.

In a related development, the Agency noted that deployment and engagement activities under its Arabic Module are currently ongoing. Validation exercises for beneficiaries under this module will be carried out this month, paving the way for the commencement of their allowance payments.

The YEA reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring timely and consistent payment of allowances, adding that measures are being implemented to streamline processes and eliminate future delays.

The Agency concluded by expressing appreciation to beneficiaries for their patience, understanding, and continued dedication to their roles under the programme.
