Cardi B Victim of $60,000 Credit Card Fraud, Vows ‘Y’all Going to Jail’

Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B has revealed she was the victim of credit card fraud, with unauthorized charges totaling approximately $60,000 made on her American Express card during her ongoing “Little Miss Drama” tour.

Speaking via Instagram Live on Monday, April 6, the “Bodak Yellow” hitmaker said four individuals allegedly accessed her card details and spent $40,000 at luxury department store Saks Fifth Avenue and another $20,000 at an Apple Store—all within the span of about 35 minutes .

‘I Don’t Play About My Money’

Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, explained that her Amex card had gone missing approximately two weeks prior, though she initially didn’t suspect foul play . Because her card is linked directly to her phone and her accountant’s notifications, she receives real-time alerts for every transaction.

Reacting to the first alert, she recalled, “As soon as I saw that notification… I was like, ‘Saks $40,000… what the f**k?'”

Initially, she thought an assistant might have made the purchase on her behalf. However, when the $20,000 Apple charge appeared 35 minutes later, alarm bells rang. “Some weird s**t was happening,” she said. “Before I even called my accountant, my accountant called me. As soon as we saw it was some funny activity going on, we completely cut off the credit card” .

Surveillance Images Obtained

The rapper revealed that her team contacted the stores immediately and obtained clear surveillance footage of the alleged thieves. She claimed the suspects also attempted to withdraw cash from a Chase bank ATM using her card—an effort that failed since her card does not permit ATM withdrawals .

“You’re going to jail by the end of the week,” she threatened during the livestream, which peaked at over 24,000 viewers . “I got clear, clear pictures of you trying to get money out of a Chase. I got clear pictures of y’all in Saks, and I got clear pictures with y’all in Apple” .

Descriptions of Suspects

Cardi B proceeded to describe the four men she accused of the fraud, stating: “One of you is bald-headed with a very thick beard. One of y’all look like y’all ain’t got early twenties with curly black hair. One of y’all got a grey silver jacket and you got a stomach. And one of y’all is short and bald with a beard” .

She noted that her security team advised her not to share the photos publicly to avoid interfering with any ongoing police investigation .

Warning to the Thieves

The rapper, known for hits including “WAP” and “I Like It,” made clear she would not let the matter slide.

“Y’all going to jail. Y’all going to prison and I’m gonna make y’all pay me back,” she declared. “Because one thing about me, I don’t play about my money. One dollar can’t be spent out of me” .

Addressing the suspects directly, she added: “You’re going to get fly off of my s**t?! Oh, y’all going to prison! I want the maximum for you!” .

Tour Context

The incident unfolded as Cardi B nears the end of her “Little Miss Drama” tour, which is scheduled to conclude on April 17 in Atlanta after a 30-date run across the United States .

Law Enforcement Response

As of press time, it remains unclear whether any arrests have been made. American Express has not publicly commented on the alleged fraud, and law enforcement officials have not issued any statements regarding the case .
