Cardi B opens up about why she can’t practice islam:”God knew I don’t have the strength”

American rapper Cardi B has ignited a wave of reactions on social media after candidly explaining why she believes she is not suited to practice Islam, specifically citing the physical demands of fasting.

The Grammy-winning artist, born Belcalis Marlenis Almanzar, admitted in a recent statement that her inability to go without food for extended periods would make it impossible for her to observe Islamic traditions, such as Ramadan.

โ€œGod knew why He didnโ€™t make me a Muslim,โ€ Cardi B stated. โ€œHe knew that I canโ€™t be a Muslim. I donโ€™t have the strength to be a Muslim.โ€

The rapper elaborated on her struggles with hunger, admitting that it significantly affects her mood and daily interactions. She noted that she becomes irritable and short-tempered after just a few hours without eating.

โ€œIf I wake up and I didnโ€™t eat after three hours, I start to become angry,โ€ she revealed. โ€œI donโ€™t even pay attention to my kids when I am hungry.โ€

Despite her personal admission, Cardi B took a moment to acknowledge and commend those who adhere to religious fasting, whether Muslim or otherwise. โ€œPeople are making a lot of sacrifices to their God,โ€ she said. โ€œOther people are loyal to their creator.โ€

Social Media Reacts

The rapperโ€™s confession quickly went viral, drawing a mix of humorous, critical, and supportive responses from users online.

One user offered a medical perspective, commenting, โ€œBabe, you are metabolically unhealthy. Donโ€™t let anyone deceive you. You are suffering from what we call Reactive Hypoglycemia. This is what your chosen lifestyle has brought you into. You are not healthy.โ€

Others pointed out the irony in her reasoning regarding fasting traditions:
โ€œAt least she said her mind. But it shows she doesnโ€™t even know Christianity has a fasting season too.โ€

Some took a more humorous tone, advising, โ€œYou can fast for 3 hoursโ€ฆ Nobody said you should die trying.โ€

Others framed the conversation around religious devotion, with one user stating, โ€œAllah chooses those who will worship Him sincerely, not the weak or lazy ones,โ€ while another added, โ€œIn the Kingdom of God, there is no showbiz! Everyone earns what they did on earth.โ€

As of press time, Cardi B has not issued a follow-up response to the online commentary.
